Here’s some helpful facts and answers to commonly asked questions from one of Australia’s leaders in building products.

Do you sell direct?
We supply direct to volume purchases (pallet quantities ordered at any one time) however in QLD, VIC, NSW and FNQ clients can purchase from Bunnings Trade or Retail stores. Whilst we are not stocked in these stores we are in their database and the product can be ordered via their trade counters quoting these Fineline Codes:

What do I do if I have a sticky lock (the key won’t turn easily)?
Sometimes there is a lengthy delay between when the Letterbox is installed, and the home is handed over and if the lock isn’t get used it may become a bit stuck. We recommend Graphite Powder or WD40 to assist with this issue.
What do I do if I’ve lost my keys?
The key type we use are called Lowe and Fletcher and the rear of the mail insert where the lock is features a 3-digit number. Most reputable locksmiths or Mr Minit’s have the ability to cut Lowe and Fletcher blanks so you simply quote the 3-digit number and they can cut you new keys from that.
Are the Letterboxes easy to repair if they experience damage such as a car backing into it?
This is a little dependent on the extent of the damage however if it is minor yes you easily repair and patch it with Sika Filler One strike available from Bunnings or leading hardware stores.
Can the Letterbox be installed on a concrete slab/base?
Yes, whilst there are designed to be affixed into the ground with the pre-inserted post, providing we are aware that they are to go on a concrete slab, we supply them with the post removed. You then simply glue the underside of the Letterbox to the concrete base with a suitable adhesive such as Bostik No More Nails, Sikaflex, AdhesealEverflex or HB Fuller Toolbox.
What is the product warranty?
The Letterboxes come with a 1 Year manufacturer’s warranty.
Does it come with Numerals?
No, however you can affix many types of lightweight numerals readily available from hardware stores. The only thing worth noting is to use a suitable adhesive such as Bostik No More Nails or Sikaflex.
Does the Letterbox come in a range of colours or is it pre-painted?
No, the Letterboxes are supplied in a standard sand colour and are designed to be painted with any suitable quality outdoor paint to match your homes facade.
What is included in the price?
The Letterbox is supplied completely prefabricated including the mail insert (where your mail goes), a post and 2 keys for your lockable mail insert.
Is it a D.I.Y Product?
Yes, our Letterboxes are very easy to install and come with full Instructions and a Care Guide taped to the pre-inserted post of the Letterbox.
Do you supply gates?
If I want my fence to show some visibility through it or of my covenant dictates it can you assist with that?
Can the fences be made or installed to suit sloping or stepping ground?
Can the fence sit on top of an existing retaining wall?

Facts about Render Smart (Formerly FC Fence)
- The Poly-Tek FC Fence panels are made up of a high-density core sandwiched between two cementitious sheets.
- This fence is available as an ‘uncoated’ option or with a ‘render effect’ coating pre-applied in the manufacturing process.
- Acoustically this fence has a 16kgsm² density which satisfies DTMR requirements. This fence also acts as an absorptive panel with an RW value of RW29.
- This fence type is suitable for installation with a 100 x 50 RHS Galvanized Steel posts system or with a Universal I Beam post system.
- Available sizes; available in heights 900mm & 1200mm, lengths of 2400mm, 2700mm & 3000mm x 104mm Panel depth.
- For acoustic purposes requiring densities greater than 16kgsm² we can easily achieve this by increasing the skin thickness of the product.
- This fence comes with a 10 Year warranty.
Conditions of Sale Agreement for our Poly-TekSun Hoods.
Poly-Tek Sun Hoods are a modern, light weight and economical solution for over window shading. They are ‘decorative only’ and non-structural.
They are available in a range of standard sizes to suit most project requirements;
- 450w x 160 sloping to 150
- 450w x 125 sloping to 100
- 300w x 160 sloping to 150
- 300w x 125 sloping to 100
- 600w x 160 sloping to 150
- 600w x 125 sloping to 100
Vertical Wings/Blades are also available to suit above sizes.
All Poly-Tek Sun Hoods are manufactured to feature a Drip Mould to allow water ‘run off’.
The Poly-Tek Sun Hoods are supplied with our ‘Render Effect’ coating however the rear of the Sun Hood has Polyurethane Coating Only to assist with better adhesion to the substrate and to allow for bracket holes to be easily drilled on site.
As Poly-Tek Sun Hoods achieve the ‘render effect’ coating in a spray booth we are limited to what lengths can be made as one piece. The longest length we can manufacture as one piece is 5m.
Poly-Tek do not advise you paint Sun Hoods in dark colours as thermal movement is more likely to occur with the use of dark paint colours for eg black or dark grey.
With regard to installation it is Poly-Tek’s recommendation that Sun Hoods not be joined on site to achieve longer lengths. Our past experience indicates that you will not be able to create a seamless join line and therefore may not attain the quality of finish required for your project.
As a manufacturer, Poly-Tek take no responsibility for the correct installation of our Sun Hoods however we may be able to recommend an experienced contractor to carry out installation for you, if required.
Poly-Tek will not warrant Sun Hoods that have been joined on site. In instances where you are trying to create longer Hood lengths than we are able to manufacture we suggest that you leave an appropriate gap between hoods.

What is your delivery process?
Poly-Tek Commercial Fencing is delivered on semi-trailers with a Manitou or alternatively a crane truck, depending on volumes.
What is the delivery timeframe?
Poly-Tek Commercial Fencing is typically manufactured within 3 weeks from placement of order/deposit to dispatch.
Can you supply the product nationally?
Yes, we can ship nationally and in some states, we can suggest installers also.
Can the fences sit on retaining walls?
Yes, they can, provided they are installed with a special bracket system.
What is the product warranty?
Our Commercial Fence types range in warranty from 10-50 Years depending on the product.
Is the fence painted or do Poly-Tek offer a painting service?
Unless specifically ordered pre-painted, our fences are not supplied painted. They are designed to be painted on site, once installed.
Can Poly-Tek install the fence?
No, however we can recommend qualified contractors to do the installation for you.
