Government Approved Noise Barrier Panels suited for Large Infrastructure projects as well as Developments on state controlled roads or rail lines

Poly-Tek’s MetecnoBarrier has recently been approved by the Queensland Government’s Department of Transport & Main Roads (TMR) as a noise barrier panel for use on state controlled roads, highways and Queensland Rail railway lines.

MetecnoBarrier Noise Barriers are the only QLD made, TMR Approved, Composite Noise Wall product. The MetecnoBarrier Panels are manufactured at our ISO9001 accredited facility at Acacia Ridge.

Manufactured with a 40 year design life in mind the MetecnoBarrier Panels are robust and heavy duty and meet or exceed all Government Noise Barrier requirements as per MRTS-15 of Impact & Vandal resistance, fire resistance, reflective acoustic attenuation, durability, aesthetics and economy.

MetecnoBarrier Panels have a density of 27kgs m2 making them very effective acoustically but more lightweight in nature to concrete noise barriers. This also is most advantageous when handling, freighting and installing. Their weight means they are ideally suited for bridges and overpasses whereby concrete alternatives are too heavy.

220 Panels (approx 750m2) can be shipped on one semi trailer load making MetecnoBarrier Panels ideal for local transportation as well as regional projects.

Due to the MetecnoBarrier Panels being lightweight but sturdy they are extremely easy and fast to install, allowing projects to be completed faster than traditional concrete barrier systems and saving immeasurable money on your project’s bottom line.

Using MetecnoBarrier Panels reduces our carbon and energy footprint as it means fewer trucks delivering the product and greatly reduced on site labor.

MetecnoBarrier Panels can also be pre-painted ‘ín factory’ which is another significant cost, labor and time saving feature.
